![]() ![]() It seems extremely likely the the PS3 HD remasters will feature the exact same type of co-op. Tales of Symphonia and Tales of Symphonia : Dawn of the New World both support up to 4-player local co-op where each player takes control of a character in the combat parts of the game. Check out the trailer below (sorry, it's in Japanese!): Outside of that, the Symphonia 1 game was just the PS2 version of Symphonia with HD visuals, the new orchestrated openings/dual voice options, some free cameo costumes from various PS3 ported Tales of games (Graces, Xillia, Vesperia), 720p/30 resolution, and more stable frame rate (PS2 targeted 30, but it dropped a bit). A limited edition of the bundle is planned for Japan (including 5 figurines and an original novel), but no word yet on special editions for outside of Japan. It will also be released early 2014 in the West as Tales of Symphonia Chronicles. The two-game bundle will be released in Japan on October 10th under the name Tales of Symphonia: Unisonant Pack. ![]() As to additions and changes to the original games, details are currently slim, but new cut-ins for Artes are promised as are additional character costumes from Tales of the Abyss. ![]() To celebrate its 10th anniversary, Namco Bandai has announced that this classic JRPG will be remastered in HD and bundled with its Wii sequel Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World for the PS3. They are a staple for many JRPG fans who want some co-op in their JRPGs and one of the most popular and most celebrated Tales games is certainly Tales of Symphonia. There are some really interesting locations in Phantasia that would be really cool to see in that art style. There are a ton of Tales games out there. ![]() Now, I wasn't even thinking of HD-2D, but now that you mention it I think I might even prefer that instead. Though I haven't played the full version of it yet, I did like exploring the world of Trials of Mana in the way they presented it keeping in mind my memories of the SNES game. Would just be cool to see that same world in a different perspective. I know the PS2 version has costumes available at the start. It doesn't necessarily have to be Arise, it could be the same engine they used for Xillia, Zestiria or Berseria for all I care. Well, seeing as I cant find an answer anywhere else, I was wondering whether or not costumes can be worn at the beginning of a new play-through during a new game + if you choose to transfer titles. It would be nice to see a remake of that game, I've heard good things about it.īut explaining the mad part, what do mean by recent Tales engine? Do you mean the engine used for Tales of Arise from last year? Beautiful game btw but is it wrong that I would like HD-2D of Tales of Phantasia? I think that would be cooler but tho to us gamers not having the knowledge of developers, I've heard that HD-2D is more costly and timely than making a HD game so like TOS I'd take what I can get if we are to Tales of Phantasia remake game. You mad bro and I mean that in the nicest way as that is the very first Tales game on and the SNES no less. If a remaster is all we can get I fine with that of course I would like more effort with the performance but I am not being a beggar being chooser here. My bias or not, I am fine any form this game come as so tho unfortunate about the FPS and this time around a port. That is the unrealistic expectation of this game being remade to me and I don't want to put that on myself on game I look highly upon. Of course it is not fair outside of production of game visual is probably not a issue it is the talented VA that grace this game, most are really famous as discussed here. With a remake of TOS would be cool but is not a real expectation of this classic tales title. In a dying world legend has it that a Chosen One will one day rise. Fixed an issue where the game would freeze at the end of certain boss battles. Fixed an issue that was causing significant processing slowdowns while moving through the sandstorm area of 'Triet. So the way I see remakes depends on those factors before I say all are not good in my eyes. Fight an epic battle for survival in Tales of Symphonia Remastered for Nintendo Switch. Tales of Symphonia Remastered Patch Notes (v1.2) en. GC/PS2/PS3/Steam: Obtained from in-game side quest. I'm sure I've said this before of remakes of recent years and to me I see the concerns what ppl say of them of late but that comes down to the effort put forth and the direction said game wants go in. PS3: have a save from either Tales of Graces, Tales of Xillia, and/or Tales of Xillia 2 complete the game once. ![]()
